building Zeppelinstrasse
Early in the nineties the buildings in the Waesserscheid were too small,
so that a new building was constructed in the Remagen-South industrial
area.
In the 170m long builing are the central warehouse,
the Silverparts and
test department and the buying office located.
Close by are the pavillons with the frame building
and the Octagon flagship store.

Schauff has a high-tech frame building unit. The "La Luna" frame is made from a custom-made Mannesmann 60mm diameter cromoly tube, which is first bent 230° and then all "holes" are cut by a plasma-cutter. A second robot welds the frame with a CuSi3 welding filler, developed by Axel Schauff and german welding-specialist Fronius. Of course traditional hand-brazed lugged frames are also made here.

Schauff has a wide range of test machines for almost all bike components. Schauff only assembles bikes with parts that exceed the DIN, BS, CPSC or ISO standards by a factor of at least 3. Schauff's own test criteria were developed in cooperation with the technical university of Aachen and are defined in the SSS94 safety standard.

The Silverparts division keeps stock of spare parts for all Schauff bicycles and also distributes other things to the bicycle retailer which the bike enthusiast needs. Silverparts can offer a 24 hour service within Germany and a little longer worldwide.
